Kokkoya Organics is an urban farm and education space in Yangon, Myanmar.
Founded in late 2017, Kokkoya Organics is a female-led, employee-owned social business that has been growing and delivering fresh vegetables to families in Yangon for over 5 years.
Kokkoya also often collaborates with different organizations and local communities to promote diverse topics. Currently Kokkoya runs an urban farm internship program, a gardening club and a range of nature inspired workshops.
The vision for Kokkoya is a world where all farming is impacting the environment in a positive way, and using business as a force for good.
ကုက္ကိုယာ မြို့ပြစိုက်ခင်း “Kokkoya Organics” က သဘာဝနှင့် လိုက်လျောညီစွာ ဟန်ချက်မပျက်ဖို့၊ သဘာဝပတ်ဝန်းကျင်ကို မထိခိုက်ဖို့ ဆိုတဲ့ ရည်ရွယ်ချက်တွေနဲ့ လူငယ်တွေ ဦးဆောင် တည်ထောင်တဲ့ မြို့ပြစိုက်ခင်း (urban farm) တခုပါ။
ကုက္ကိုယာကို ၂၀၁၇ တွင် စတင်တည်ထောင်ပြီး လတ်ဆက်တဲ့ ဟင်းသီးဟင်းရွက်တွေကို ယနေ့အထိ ၅နှစ်ကျော် ရန်ကုန်မြို့အတွင်း ပို့ဆောင်ပေးနေပါတယ်။
ကုက္ကိုယာက သဘာဝနည်းဖြင့် စိုက်ပျိုးမှု (organic farming*) နှင့် ပတ်သတ်တဲ့ အသိပညာ၊ အတတ်ပညာများကို လူငယ်များကို မျှဝေပေးပြီး၊ သဘာဝသီးနှံ ထုတ်လုပ်သူ (organic farmers) တွေ ရောင်းချရာ ဈေးကွက် (market) ကို ကူညီတည်ဆောက်ပေးသည့်အပြင်၊ အရွယ်မရွေး တက်ရောက်နိုင်တဲ့ သဘာဝပတ်ဝန်းကျင် ဆိုင်ရာ ပညာပေးအစီအစဉ် (Environmental Education Programmes) တွေလည်း ပြုလုပ်ပါတယ်။
ကုက္ကိုယာမှာ ပျိုးပင်နှင့် စိုက်ခင်း၊ စိုက်ခင်းထွက် စားသောက်ဆိုင်နှင့် ကော်ဖီ၊ အော်ဂဲနစ် ဟင်းသီးဟင်ရွက်များကို အွန်လိုင်းမှ မှာယူနိုင်သလို၊ အရောင်းဆိုင်မှာ လာရောက် ဝယ်ယူနိုင်ပါတယ်။ အခမ်းအနားပွဲ နေရာ (event space) အဖြစ်လည်း ငှားရမ်း အသုံးပြုနိုင်ပါတယ်။ အခြားသော အဖွဲ့များနှင့် ပူးတွဲပြီး၊ အကြောင်းအရာ မျိုးစုံ ဆွေးနွေးခြင်း၊ သဘာဝပတ်ဝန်းကျင် ထိန်းသိမ်းရေး ဆိုင်ရာ ကိစ္စများ ဆောင်ရွက်ခြင်းများ ပြုလုပ်ပါတယ်။
ကုက္ကိုယာတွင် အလုပ်သင် အစီအစဉ် (internship program) ရှိသလို၊ gardening club နှင့် အခြားသော သဘာဝနှင့်သက်ဆိုင်သည့် ဆွေးနွေးပွဲများ (workshop) ပြုလုပ်ပါတယ်။
ကုက္ကိုယာ၏ မျှော်မှန်းချက်မှာ လယ်ယာစိုက်ပျိုးမှု အားလုံးသည် ပတ်ဝန်းကျင်ကို အပြုသဘောဆောင်သော နည်းလမ်းဖြင့် သက်ရောက်မှုရှိပြီး၊ စီးပွားရေးကို ကောင်းကျိုးအတွက် တွန်းအားအဖြစ် အသုံးပြုရန် ဖြစ်တယ်။
